Remembrance Park will be a green oasis welcoming the public into the thriving Downtown.

The signature features include Clayton’s first living green wall, a tranquil fountain, public WiFi compliments of the St. Louis County Library, and chess tables with lessons offered by St. Louis Chess Club. A bicycle repair station allowing cyclists to recharge on their journey.

About Remembrance Park

Located adjacent to the Mid-County Library at 7811 Maryland Avenue is Clayton’s twelfth public park. As the second Downtown park, it serves as a landmark that embodies the community, culture, and flavor of Clayton.

Visitors will be drawn to the park, where they can experience the wonder of the living green wall, reflect under the shade of the tree canopy, or remember Clayton’s icons through the historical plaques.

“The new park will be a great addition to Downtown Clayton. Next door to the Mid-County Branch, patrons will have the opportunity to take materials to the park and read outdoors. We also look forward to partnering with the Clayton Community Foundation on literacy-themed programs.
